For our infants and toddlers
Seedling Program
What environment the little ones are in. What do the little ones do all day.
Infant and Toddler Care
In the Seedling Program, we care for children younger than 2 years old. Our teachers focus on developing supportive, trusting relationships with the children in our care. We create rich environments that encourage very young children to explore and discover the world around them, helping them to engage in experiences designed to support their optimal development in all domains.
We also value and respect parents as their children’s first teachers. We partner with parents in learning everything we can about their infants and toddlers to better care for their needs and plan for their development. We document, track and communicate closely to the parents about the children’s development and progress. As a result, our programs create a strong three-way bond between child, parent, and caregiver.
Our classroom
Quiet Zone
Our teachers cuddle and feed the little ones. The young learners read, listen and rest.
Active Zone
The little ones play freely, and develop the gross motor skills.
Messy Zone
The little ones exercise their creativity, manipulate objects, and be artists!
Outdoor
The little ones enjoy sunlight and learn to walk, run and climb. They will get the chance to dig in sand, splash water and even paint!
Curriculum
We adopt HighScope Curriculum in our school. Ongoing child and program assessment is an underlying component of the HighScope Curriculum. Objective observations of children allow teachers to intentionally plan to build on individual and group interests and scaffold development by supporting what children know while gently extending their learning. Below are the Key Developmental Indicators. The curriculum focuses on these six content areas:
Approaches to Learning
A child expresses initiatives, solve problems encountered in exploration and play and develops ability to self-help.
Social and Emotional Development
A child distinguishes self and others, develops relationships with adults and peers. A child also expresses emotions, shows empathy. He/She plays with others and participates in group routines.
